Privacy Policy

• Provide the Service — run benchmarks, display results, manage your SKU dashboard, and send price alerts.
• Process payments — create and manage your Stripe subscription.
• Improve benchmark accuracy — we use anonymized, aggregated pricing data to calibrate our market rate database. Your specific prices are never attributable to you in this process.
• Send transactional emails — account confirmation, password reset, price alerts, and billing receipts.
• Send product updates — occasional emails about new features or important changes. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Security & fraud prevention — monitor for suspicious activity and protect the Service and our users.
• Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your specific packaging prices or supplier relationships with other users, competitors, or suppliers.

We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements:
  • Supabase — database hosting (US)
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Anthropic — AI-generated negotiation scripts and RFQ documents (your packaging specs are sent to generate content)
  • Netlify — application hosting (US)
  • Google — website traffic analytics (Google Analytics 4), loaded only with your consent
  • Microsoft — product analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings (Clarity), loaded only with your consent
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PackPricer, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
• With your consent — for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

• We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.
• If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. financial records, which are kept for 7 years per standard accounting requirements).
• Anonymized, aggregated benchmark data derived from your usage may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personal information.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, Row Level Security (RLS) enforced at the database layer so no user can access another user's data, and bcrypt-hashed passwords. We conduct regular security reviews.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@packpricer.com.

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management (Supabase session tokens). Cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
• Analytics cookies (consent-based) — loaded only after you accept via the consent banner shown on your first visit:
  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic, visitor, and page-view metrics. IP addresses are anonymized.
  • Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors interact with pages, so we can improve usability. Clarity automatically masks text and form-input content by default.

Analytics scripts and cookies load only after you accept via the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics are loaded and none of the above tools run. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, which restores the banner on your next visit.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or sell data to ad networks. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations). You can also delete your account directly from Settings.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format. SKU data can be exported as CSV from the dashboard.
• Objection / restriction — object to or request restriction of certain processing.
• Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

If you are located in the EU or EEA, our legal bases for processing your data are:

• Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — improving benchmark accuracy, security monitoring, and fraud prevention.
• Legal obligation — complying with applicable laws.
• Consent — where we have obtained your explicit consent (e.g. marketing emails).

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your data lawfully.

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, contact info@packpricer.com.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service at least 14 days before changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
